How Do We Thrive?

In this moment of global pause, upheaval, and uncertainty, many are asking not only “how are we going to make it through,” but “how can we prepare the ground for something better to emerge?” Author, facilitator and consultant Michelle Holliday proposes that we need an expanded story to be able to see what else is possible beyond our current habits of thought and action. During this session, she will outline the shift we’re living through, from a mechanistic paradigm to one based on life and living systems. She will be joined by pioneering, visionary vegan chef and entrepreneur Miyoko Schinner, who will share her perspectives on this shift, as well as stories of how it is lived out in her organization, Miyoko's Creamery. In unscripted dialogue, the two speakers will explore how we can shape our organizations as practice grounds for an economic system that is more resilient, caring and aligned with the needs and limits of the biosphere.
