Jordan Williams

PGM ONE / Regenerate Change
Facilitator, Co-Leader, Decolonizer, Abolitionist
Jordan Alexander Williams (he/they) is a Black, queer community and leadership developer, facilitator, decolonizer, and dancer. Rooted in his lineages and guided by nature’s deep wisdom and interconnectivity, Jordan finds his work and purpose in the co- design and engagement of processes that nurture more possibilities.

Originally from Inoka land (Chicago, IL), Jordan graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in environmental science. Nearly four years later, Jordan has built community and connection with diverse beings, human and more-than-human, along the eastern coast of this land. As the former manager of the RAY Diversity Fellowship, a facilitator for the New England Regional Network, and a senior fellow of both, Jordan has worked to foster cultural shifts within predominantly white environmental non-profits, and mentor the next generation of environmental leaders of color. Jordan has also organized and led direct actions with environmental justice activists demanding a Green New Deal.

Most recently, Jordan embarked on a year-long experiential residency, Place Corps, to learn radical skills in regenerative agriculture, cooperative governance and living, wildcrafting and homesteading, and more. As we look to an uncertain future, Jordan believes “right relationship” with people and the planet will come by getting our hands and feet in the soil, caring for each other, and reclaiming the earth-based wisdom and practices of our ancestors.

"We are descendants of futurists, carrying on the legacy of our ancestral grandmothers who braided seeds in their hair before boarding transatlantic slave ships, believing against odds in a future of sovereignty on the land."   - Leah & Naima Penniman, Farming While Black, Soul Fire Farm
